We all have good and bad days, better or worse times, ups and downs…
Sometimes we feel that we rule the world. Life couldn’t be better. Everything is just perfect.
But sometimes we are feeling we are getting nowhere. That we are stuck in the endless demands from everyone around us. But it’s only when we become frustrated, stressed out and irritated at every word and move, that we get in trouble. Because we let simple things overshadow the bigger picture.
And all we can do is taking one step at the time, thinking on the obligation, trouble… at hand. Focusing on each moment, ticking off task from our to-do lists.
And as I said we all have our good and bad moments. And good and bad decisions.
Let’s talk about bad decisions. We might fight, scream, yell… We let the bad moments win over our feelings, emotions and our decisions. I’m not saying you should pretend you’re OK when you are not. But you can always choose how you will communicate this to your family.
And this is where the big picture comes to our rescue. And you know what your big picture is, right. It’s the dreams, the goals, the hopes and wishes… that you have for your family.
You know what you want to achieve and that is always a good reminder to keep things in the perspective.
You know what they say: “Don’t sweat the small stuff. And everything is small stuff.”
Next time you bump into something that’s dragging you down, like some unfinished homework, dirty dishes in the sink, clothes on the floor or maybe a word spoken too roughly in inappropriate moment or… just think of your family. Think of the big picture.
Think what you really want. Do you want to fight or you want to handle it differently and set an example and keep the atmosphere high?
Keep the eyes on the prize, which is happy, connected family. And always choose the road that is leading you towards your dreams.
