Playing the Life Lessons

Empower your Child for Life with Exciting Games for the Whole Family Have you been looking for a simple, fun and effective way to raise happy, prosperous and wealthy kids?    We all want our kids to be happy, healthy, wealthy and living in abundance and loved. But how do you explain the principles and ideas of dreaming big, goal setting, meditation, visualization and gratitude to your child? Will he even be willing to listen? Of course one way is that you tell them what to do. When I tried to talk with my children about it, they just rolled their eyes. Another, better way is to teach by your own example. But still… there are situations or lessons that you just can’t wait to show.       Why don’t you play with your children instead, putting all those principles in their lives effortlessly and playfully? Not only will we be spending time with them in ways that strenghten our bond with them but will also be teaching them important and empowering skills that...

It has nothing to do with what you think

It has nothing to do with what you think

My older daughter Anja just had an importan competition last weekend – swimming nationals. Although she didn’t expect much (or that’s what I thought) because of her knee injury, she was very excited, but nervous.

At her first event she totally blew it. She jumped in the water way too soon, so she didn’t even continue swimming. She was so disappointed. Because she expected to get a medal… So much for not expecting much:)

Make December Fun and Peaceful

Christmas gift suggestions:

To your enemy, forgiveness.
To an opponent, tolerance.
To a friend, your heart.
To a customer, service.
To all, charity.
To every child, a good example.
To yourself, respect.

The last month of the year just started. It’s filled with expectations for something new, better, bigger. But too often we got caught in the shopping frenzy, being bombarded by all the sales and special offers and promotions. And being stressed out by the pressure from our kids, family and friends to buy that perfect gift, to fulfill their biggest wish. Not to mention the preparation and cooking for the Christmas and New Year Eve.

Why don’t you make it peaceful and calmer this year?

3 Worst Words You Can Say to Your Child

3 Worst Words You Can Say to Your Child

Can you imagine what they are? No, I don’t mean cursing or calling him names. Those words that I have in mind are actually really polite, can be even nice and well-meaning, but they are deadly.

They will not kill your child, of course, but they will kill his ambition, his dreams and his motivation. And those are the things that we as a parents need to empower. What would happen to your child, when he grows up and find himself in the life with no future, no motivation, no inspiration and nothing to look after? He might just be dead as well.

And what are those 3 words?

Waiting, waiting, waiting…

Waiting, waiting, waiting...

If you are anything like me, and you have kids, that attend millions of activities, the majority of your time you spend driving kids back and forth and wasting time in between.

It requires not only great organizational skills and being very flexible, not to say available, but think about all the time you spend waiting.

Although it’s great sometimes to meet other mums and go for a cup of coffee, doing it on a daily basis is great time-waster.

When Anja has a competition, for me it means waking up in the early morning hours, driving to the venue and back home in the evening. I literally have whole day off. Although she doesn’t really need me there by her side, I spend the day at the pool, just in case… I often used to bring laptop computer with me, but I rarely even open it, let alone that I would really work. And I felt bad for not doing the things…

Living in these busy times it is necessary to organize and prioritize things in-between. But it does not mean you need to go running around and doing things you have to do. Of course you can do some errands or go shopping, but why don’t you just take some time off.

While you wait you can read good book, that you wanted to read for some time, you can listen to motivational audio book or meditation, you can go for a walk. Think about your dreams, your goals, your plans… You can even write your gratitude journal, sitting in the car or in the park.

Do You Take Time-off from Your Kids?

Do You Take Time-off from Your Kids?

I often write and talk about the time we spend with our children. And how we should set aside as much time as possible to be with kids and enjoy quality time together. And it is important! But what about your time? Do you spend enough time with yourself?

Look at your typical day. If you are anything like me, your day is filled with errands, house-keeping (well, at least I don’t do the cleaning), driving the kids around from one activity to another, doing business… And if that’s not enough Anja has competitions on Saturdays and Tina is having her riding lessons on Sundays.

We, the parents are so busy and overwhelmed with the things we have to do and they just can’t wait.

But do you sacrifice your time for it? Are the needs of others always before yours? And do you feel guilty if you let your family members to be on their own?
